Stick a fork in ‘em! Pop singer Joe Jonas and Twilight stunner Ashley Greene — who have reportedly been shacking up together in the actress’ Los Angeles apartment since the fall — recently called it quits after less than a year of dating, celebrity informants blabbed to The New York Post’s Page Six Column Thursday.
“It was mutual and amicable,” says an insider, who believes the twosome with an affinity for public displays of affection “drifted apart” due to their heavy work schedules.
The crooner was certainly singing a different tune when quizzed about his romance with Greene in an interview with the April issue of Details Magazine, which hit newsstands just this week.
Go figure…
The actor-musician has been romantically-linked to Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato said the thing he liked most about Ashley was her ability to put his “feelings first.” Jonas claimed to appreciate what he had with the brunette beauty because he’d had his heart broken by a famous girl in the past. (*Cough* Camille Belle *Cough*)
“I won’t say her name, but I was in a relationship, and we tried to work things out, and she, you know – I was really upset because she – she broke up with me. I think what works about it with [Ashley] is she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule. She’ll fly out to my shows – she’s been to places in South America that I can’t even pronounce…”
