Selena Gomez's new single "Bang Bang Bang" has an unmistakable sound of sweet revenge to it and Selena has come clean about what the lyrics meant to her.
In a recent video posted on her YouTube account, SelGomez, the 18 year-old pop singer revealed her feelings about her new song's lyrics.
"When I heard it, I Instantly related to the song. I felt a complete connection to it and I rewrote some of the lyrics to tweak it to where it was perfectly about my life. It was one of those songs that is a diss and a compliment."
It would be anyone's guess (at least those who follow the teen pop culture diva) that the lyrics are meant for her ex Nick Jonas whom she dated before her current boyfriend, Justin Bieber.
Bragging about her new boy, pop singer Bieber's 'swagger', Selena sings,
"My new boy knows the way I want it.
He's got more swagger than you, he's got more swagger than you do."
"It's basically saying in a past relationship you may not have been treated properly, you kind of don't really like that person, but then there's a new person in your life that makes you feel like you're the only person in the world that matters," Selena explained in the video with her eyes averted from the camera.
"It's a sweet song, and a diss, but it's really fun,"she then delightfully added.
On Tuesday, June 28th 2011, at 12:15 PM EST, Selena will do a live webcast on YouTube and answer questions posted by her fans on her YouTube page.
