Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have split after being married for seven years.
"We have decided to end our marriage," they tell People magazine in a joint statement.
"This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters." the couple's rep told Us Weekly.
"It is a painful time for all involved," the statement continues, "and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."
The couple had a simple marriage at Lopez's Beverly Hills home on June 5, 2004.
Lopez, 41, gave birth to their twins, Max and Emme, on February 22, 2008
This is Jennifer's third divorce; she married Ojani Noa in 1997 and her backup dancer Cris Judd in 2001.
Marc, 42, was earlier married to former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres. The couple had two sons. They separated in 2002 after two years of marriage and got divorced in 2004.
