You might think Mumbai traffic is a curse that you have to endure commuting to work, but Salman Khan has other ideas, not to mention the money to implement them.
Salman, 45, is set to start filming Bodyguard at Film City in Goregaon. The shoot is expected to last 40 days and Salman has hit upon a novel idea to duck the 90 min commute from his house in Bandra through peak traffic.
He is going to live on set!
According to the TOI, Bodyguard producer Atul Agnihotri is building a two bedroom condo on set for Salman, with interiors as close to Salman's Galaxy Apartments, Bandra pad.
"We are not going to take anything from his pad to do up this place," Agnihotri tells the TOI. "We are renting everything out from beds to wardrobes. Salman's gym will also have everything he needs. There will be a fully loaded kitchen, a big bathroom and an area where he can hang out with his friends who drop in to see him."
Despite Agnihotri's efforts, Salman will still miss staying at Bandra. His parents, for example, live one floor above him at Galaxy Apartments. Also, his five dogs. It's getting too hot for the dogs to be living on set, so Salman will have to leave them behind.
Filming is scheduled to begin at month end. The first schedule of the film was shot at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, in January.
In the film, Salman plays Kareena Kapoor's bodyguard, Lovely Singh.
Kareena plays a Symbiosis student, and Hazel of UK plays Kareena's college friend.
The film additionally stars Shatrughan Sinha.
Kareena is currently in Delhi filming for Agent Vinod with beau Saif Ali Khan.
Bodyguard is scheduled for an August 31 release.
