Taylor Swift Lands Role Opposite Zac Efron
Taylor Swift is taking her vocal talent to Hollywood by starring opposite ‘High School Musical’ star Zac Efron in the movie adaptation of Dr Seuss’ ‘The Lorax’.
The 21-year-old Country sweetheart will join the cast to voice the love interest of Efron’s character in the CGI-animated movie, which also stars Danny DeVito, Betty White, Ed Helms and Rob Riggle, Contactmusic reported.
The film follows Ted, voiced by Efron, who seeks out the Lorax, played by Danny, in a tale which contains a message regarding the importance of preserving the environment.
Taylor will voice Audrey, the girl of Ted’s dreams, cementing her status as an actress after her appearance in ‘Valentine’s Day’ last year.
Chris Renaud is directing the picture being made by studios Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment and will be released in March 2012.
