Mariah Carey’s unborn twins narrowly missed the opportunity to share a birthday with their famous mom after the songstress’ weekend labor pains were branded as just a bout with Braxton Hicks.
But just because she’s not holding her bouncing boy and girl in her arms just yet, doesn’t mean the diva can’t get an early start on celebrating.
“So #dembabies really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary! I started having contractions last night… went 2 the hospital,” the now 42-year-old singer wrote in a Tweet Sunday, including a link to a snapshot of her colorfully-decorated, protruding belly.
Mariah selected — What else? — a butterfly to adorn her baby bump.
She later added: “They almost came 3/27 – happy anniversary indeed!!! We have a few more weeks 2 go but – wow!!! :) #soreadyallready!”
Earlier this month, Carey and Cannon had a pink and blue themed baby shower in Beverly Hills in anticipation of their new bundles of joy, who are due any day now.
